Dance is a performing art and our company was designed for those dancers who absolutely love dance, want more performing opportunities beyond the annual performance and may be interested in pursuing a dance career. The Repertory company is made up of Ballet, Contemporary and Jazz Ensembles. We believe in developing a well rounded, versatile dancer and many students choose to dance with all three Ensembles.

Our Ballet Ensemble has performed classical ballets such as “The Mistake Waltz”, “Pas de Quatre” and “Les Sylphides” as well as excerpts from major ballets such as the Blue Bird pas de deux from “Sleeping Beauty” and solo variations from “Paquita”, “Swan Lake” and “The Nutcracker”. In addition we have staged original ballets utilizing all of our Ensembles (Ballet, Contemporary & Jazz) with our own Christian telling of the story such as “The Snow Queen”, “Cinderella” and “Sleeping Beauty”. The company has performed at Riley Hospital for Children, assisted living facilities, churches, the annual Spring performance, the annual Repertory Company performance and many other community events. During the ’20-’21 season we were proud to still be able to provide several performance opportunities via live-stream performances and pre-recorded projects.

Dance Creations Academy’s pre-professional program and performing company are designed to develop, inspire, and sustain a love of dance in every student. Our primary goal is to produce classically trained, versatile dancers. Our program offers technique rooted in the traditions of classical ballet, contemporary and jazz with progressive age-appropriate curriculum. Our dancers have the opportunity to develop a strong technique, discipline, creativity, artistry, musicality, and confidence.

The expertise and dedication of our faculty offers our dancers a challenging and comprehensive program that will prepare them to achieve their goals. Our DCA dancers have gone on to pursue degrees in dance performance and/or pedagogy, dance with professional companies or musical theater or become dance instructors and choreographers.

Our exceptional faculty gives each dancer personal attention in a nurturing, supportive environment. The DCA dancers are given performance opportunities locally and are exposed to professional dance performances in Indianapolis and surrounding areas.

Annual auditions for the DCA Repertory Company are each Spring and dancers will sign a one-year contract.
