Hip-Hop is a very fun, energetic and encourages individuality! Hip-hop is based on street dance and is frequently used by “back up dancers” in concerts and on T.V. Lots of body isolations and “earthy” type movements. The music is often R & B, pop, rap or a mixture. Our music is chosen carefully. No bad language or suggestive lyrics are used. We often use Christian Hip-Hop music, music with a positive message or instrumental only. Enroll Here

Contemporary, or Modern dance is a less defined technique that encourages creativity and individuality. Sometimes a story is told through the movement while other times the choreographer is working with an abstract idea. We provide a complete syllabus to advance students through the pre-professional level. Several of our graduates have gone on to major in dance and /or dance professionally. Although contemporary is a less restrictive style, a strong ballet foundation is needed to be successful in the technique and we recommend all Contemporary dancers take Ballet as a supplementary class.
