Our Tap / Musical theater classes teach students how to convey a message to the audience with their tapping. Tap dance uses hard soled shoes with aluminum taps screwed on the bottoms and is a rhythmic type of dance using the feet to make clicking sounds on the floor. Tap can be seen on many Broadway stages and is one the primary dance styles performed by the Rockettes. Enroll Here

Dancers will participate in Bible study and using dance as worship, mainly through improvisation. This is not a stand-alone class and a class of another style (Ballet, Contemporary or Jazz) is required alongside this class for dance technique.
Contemporary, or Modern dance is a less defined technique that encourages creativity and individuality. Sometimes a story is told through the movement while other times the choreographer is working with an abstract idea. We provide a complete syllabus to advance students through the pre-professional level. Several of our graduates have gone on to major in dance and /or dance professionally. Although contemporary is a less restrictive style, a strong ballet foundation is needed to be successful in the technique. Enroll Here

Our Apprentice Program is designed for dancers ages 7 and up who love to dance and perform but are not yet eligible for the main program. Apprentice members have a well rounded schedule of classes and participate in most Repertory Company performances. Dance Creations Academy’s Apprentice program is designed to develop, inspire, and sustain a love of dance in every student. Our primary goal is to produce classically trained, versatile dancers. Our program offers technique rooted in the traditions of classical ballet, contemporary and jazz with progressive age-appropriate curriculum. Careful thought and consideration went into designing this program for our young dancers. We do not want to over schedule them or have them burn out by the time they are teens. We want for our dancers to be well rounded artists and humans and to remain passionate about their art form. We believe that quality classes over quantity and not rushing the process goes a long way in producing these results. For more details, please visit our Apprentice Company page here.
Our pre-professional program is designed for dancers in our ballet, contemporary and jazz programs who want to take their dancing to the next level. In addition to a well rounded schedule of classes, dancers are also involved in our performance company (The Repertory Company) and participate in several performances through out the season. The Repertory company is made up of Ballet, Contemporary and Jazz Ensembles. We believe in developing a well rounded, versatile dancer and many students choose to dance with all three Ensembles. For more details please visit our Performing Company Page here.
