Dance Creations Academy Policies

Students must adhere to the dress code for classes except when taking for a short summer session or camp. Our dress code requirements are found here.

Our building is open only during class times. Please see the current schedule at the footer of our website.

Students are evaluated at the end of each session and given a written placement from their instructor for the following session. Ballet students levels 1b-5 are evaluated every March, July and December.

Students with previous experience, over age 8 and new to the studio should discuss placement with the Director by emailing Melissa at Melissa@DanceCreationsAcademy.com. We may have you come and take a placement class.

Potential students may try one class without charge. You may arrange a trial class by clicking here.

Regular attendance is important to maintain your technique & for learning performance piece. Please notify us by filling out an absence form in your customer portal when a student will be missing class.

You may schedule a make-up class at the same time as you fill out an absence form in your customer portal. Students may make up in any age/level appropriate class for any class missed. Make up classes expire after 6 months and classes may not be made up during summer camps or intensives. Classes may also not be made up in performance classes during the 4 weeks prior to our Spring Performance.

Any class cancellations will be announced on our web-site home page, FaceBook & Instagram. We will also send out a text and email. Please be sure to “opt in” a valid cell phone number in your customer portal to receive these messages. If you do not opt in, you will receive messages only via email.

Please give at least one week notice prior to the first of the month via e-mail if you are dropping a class or changing your class schedule. Any unpaid balances will be charged prior to discontinuance of EFT. Class withdrawals made after the debit on the 1st of each month will be charged the full month. No refunds will be given. Dance Creations Academy reserves the right to terminate lessons of any student for any reason. In such a case a refund for unused lessons will be given.

Refunds will be given only if a class is canceled due low enrollment. Tuition is non-refundable, except in case of relocation, serious injury or prolonged illness, which prohibits the student from dancing. There will be no credit adjustments for voluntary withdrawal or for classes missed due to vacations, camps, school events, etc. Annual registration fee is non-refundable unless your class is cancelled by Dance Creations Academy.
